While scouting locations …

While scouting locations for an upcoming shoot, I found this. As I processed the images, I kept coming back to this one.

What do you think, color or sepia? Why?

  1. For me, memory images are essentially monochromatic, e.g., sepia. They fade just like actual photos. And this shot is in some sense nostalgic, a fragment of the (my) past. The color would be an irrelevant distraction. But I like this place: the cracked, antique plaster treatment, the unkempt weeds, the mysterious pipes.
I feel I have been there. I know this place – not literally, but places like this that it represents. Maybe you have to be 82 to feel this way.
